The Obama Administration and Democratic Congress One Year Later:  Tips & Tricks in a Troubled Economy and Labor Law update. by Evan Rosen and Kara Maciel
 Already one year into President Obama's administration and the legal landscape for employers has changed.  From the appointment of Secretary Solis to lead the Department of Labor, Wilma Lieberman to Chair the National Labor Relations Board, and Congress' legislative agenda, including passage of GINA and EFCA on the horizon, employers -- large and small, union and non-union -- must be prepared for big changes ahead in the workplace. In 2009, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission received the second highest number of discrimination complaints in its history. This trend is expected to continue as the poor economy persists through most of 2010.   Liability as a result of these complaints can be extremely expensive.
